Odon Wagner would like to introduce the gallery staff. The gallery consists of the main body of the showroom, as well as the conservation and framing studio. Each employee of Odon Wagner Gallery brings with them unique experience and skills to better serve the needs of our patrons.

 

Gallery Staff:

Nicholas Wagner, BA
Associate Director

Nicholas Wagner joined the Odon Wagner Gallery team in 2000 after earning his Bachelor’s degree from McGill University in Montreal. Two years later, he was selected for the internship at the Impressionist and Modern Pictures Department at Christie’s in London, England. The internship would lay an excellent foundation for Nicholas; he developed strong researching and market analysis skills. In 2003, Nicholas returned to the Odon Wagner Gallery, acting as assistant to the director, specializing in research for appraisals, authentication and purchasing. He also manages the gallery’s web page for Artnet.com and Askart.com. and is responsible for the reliable import and export of art works. Last but not least, Nicholas acts as accounting manager. Nicholas was a volunteer for the Art Gallery of Ontario’s (AGO) Curator’s Circle in 2004 and is an active member of the Granite Club’s Art Society and the Yorkville Art Gallery Association.

Rafael Wagner, BAH, LLB
Associate Director

Rafael Wagner joined the family business again in 2004. He completed his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 1995, thereafter operating a small business for two years, as well as being employed at the Gallery. This included traveling to Hong Kong, Singapore and Miami to assist the Gallery with its participation at international fine art fairs.
Rafael went on to study law at the University of Windsor and practiced at a business law firm before returning to the Gallery as Associate Director and Counsel. Rafael is active in both the traditional and contemporary galleries procuring fine paintings and sculpture, working with Gallery artists to organize exhibitions and undertaking advertising and promotion endeavours.
Rafael lives with his wife, daughter and son at the Old Mill in Toronto.

Angela Wagner, BA
Graphic Designer

Angela Wagner has worked as a freelance designer for the Odon Wagner Gallery since 2000. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from McGill University, and a diploma in design from George Brown College. Angela designs all the catalogues for both the traditional and contemporary galleries, and also oversees the production of advertisements and brochures. angela@odonwagnergallery.com


Elissa McGillivray, BA, MA
Gallery & Curatorial Assistant

Elissa joined the gallery in 2004. She holds a BA from McMaster University and an MA in Art History from the University of Amsterdam. Elissa maintains the prize winning gallery website, which is instrumental to the ever-increasing worldwide correspondence and sale of art works. Other responsibilities include providing up-to-date information via our News & Events page, designed to keep clients and visitors informed of gallery happenings. Such a website requires professional photography which Elissa provides in our studios. elissa@odonwagnergallery.com


Jane Hutchison
Gallery Assistant

Jane joined the gallery in 2007. She holds a HBA (Specialist in Fine Art History) from Trinity College at the University of Toronto and an MSC (Contemporary Art and Art Theory) from the Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland. As gallery assistant, Jane manages daily correspondence, oversees web site updates, continues to research on behalf of the gallery, and conducts the photography of artworks for digital archives and print material. Through her extensive academic research and writing experience, Jane enjoys contributing to the diverse range of skills present among the gallery staff.

Conservation and Framing:
     
 

Cynthia Fosberg: Cynthia has been with the Odon Wagner Gallery for over twenty years. She received her fine arts training in both Kingston and Ottawa and studied arts conservation techniques in Peterborough, Ontario. After an internship at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, she began working for Odon Wagner, specializing in the conservation, restoration and framing of paintings and works on paper.

     
 

Nelli Urbanska-Pizyo: Concentrating in the area of painting conservation, Nelli also provides restoration services, applying over twenty years of professional experience from both Europe and Canada. Nelli graduated with a Bachelors degree from the Institute of Fine Art in Lviv, Ukraine and received additional training at the National Museum in Kyiv and the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia. She then went on to work at the National Museum in Lviv. Nelli has been with the Odon Wagner Gallery for over nine years.
