MICHAEL ARNOUX French, 1833-1877 Born in Paris in 1833, Michael Arnoux was a pupil of Edouard Frere, Leon Dansaert, and Cogniet. He lived and worked in Ecouen and exhibited in Paris from 1864 to 1877. Arnoux was a painter of genre scenes, producing small works on panel of young children in rustic interiors. His works include 'Young Mother' (1866) and 'Playing with Her Doll' (c.1870). |
