“CATCH ME WHO CAN” - 1815
The famed Baltimore clipper schooner “Catch Me Who Can”, described in Baltimore American and Daily Advertiser for March 18, 1815, as “burthen 65 tons, sails remarkably well, and is well found in every respect-.” Here she glides from the crowded little harbour of old Baltimore, with the great red clay bank of Federal Hill in the background surmounted by Captain David Porter’s signal station.
